Experian and NAACP Join Forces To Save Black Homeowners

The NAACP is committed to helping ensure African Americans have access to wealth building opportunities and financial security.  In partnership with Experian North America we are launching the Home Preservation Grant to alleviate some of the financial hardships Metro Atlanta homeowners have experienced due to COVID-19.  This pilot program will award $130,000.00 in grants to Metro Atlanta homeowners (up to $10,000.00 each) with owner occupied loans out of forbearance with an overdue balance that does not exceed $10,000.00.    This grant is for homeowners who have been notified by their mortgage company that their forbearance has to be paid back in full and not added to the back of the mortgage. The homeowner must be currently employed and able to provide pay stubs for the last 30 days.  Delinquent mortgage payments must be COVID-19 related.  The Home Preservation Grant must provide homeowners the opportunity to become current on their past due payments up to $10,000.00.  THIS APPLICATION PROCESS WILL CLOSE ON DECEMBER 10, 2020 AT 6PM EST.
